Former Gombe Deputy Governor, Edo Lawmakers, 2Baba’s wife Natasha Join NDC

Former Deputy Governor of Gombe State, John Yoriyo, alongside several political figures and supporters from different parts of the country, has formally joined the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), according to party leader and former Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson.

Dickson disclosed this while receiving new members into the party during a gathering attended by party officials and supporters.

Among those welcomed into the NDC were the Minority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Charity Iguodalo Aiguobarueghian, and a delegation of lawmakers from Edo State.

Also present was Hon. Natasha Osawaru-Idibia, who attended the event with her husband, renowned Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba. The couple paid what Dickson described as a courtesy visit to formally identify with and support the party.

The former governor also announced the formal integration of other political figures into the party, including High Chief Peter Ojemen, popularly known as Don P and the Okodalo of Esanland, as well as activist Dr. Aisha Yesufu and several others who were presented with party membership cards during the event.

Dickson urged the new members to remain committed to strengthening the NDC and supporting what he described as a people-oriented political movement aimed at offering Nigerians a credible alternative.

He thanked supporters across the country for their continued confidence in the party, describing the NDC as a growing opposition force in Nigeria’s political landscape.

The former governor also called on Nigerians, regardless of previous political affiliations, to join the party and contribute to its expansion ahead of future political engagements.
