Former Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, has held a strategic engagement meeting with leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ukwuani Local Government Area, as part of consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, which took place in Obinomba, brought together key party figures and grassroots stakeholders to discuss political alignment, development priorities, and the future of representation in Delta North Senatorial District.
Okowa, who is seeking to represent Delta North in the Senate, said the engagement was aimed at fostering unity and building consensus among party members and leaders across the district.
According to him, collaboration and collective commitment remain essential to achieving meaningful development and effective representation at the national level.
The former governor emphasised the need for inclusive politics and stronger cooperation among stakeholders, noting that consultations would continue across communities in the district in the coming months.
Party leaders present at the meeting reportedly expressed their willingness to work together and pledged support for initiatives that would strengthen the party’s structure and electoral prospects in the region.
The engagement is part of a broader political realignment and early mobilisation efforts as aspirants begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
